The office space is located on the first floor of a typical 60s residential building in the hip Koukaki neibourghood, in Athens. The total floor area is 75 sq.m. and the office has been organized having a spacious entrance hall, a waiting area, the main office/clinic, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a lounge. Drawing inspiration from the client’s brand identity and philosophy, the concept design aimed to highlight nature through representative colours. The importance of fresh fruit and vegetable in our daily nutrition was illustrated through the extensive introduction of vivid colors (blue, green, yellow and red) as they appear in nature. The entrance hall has been painted blue, the waiting area green, the office/clinic space yellow, the kitchen red, while the lounge, has been left white. The correlation between colors changes as the user moves inside different rooms, yet mantaining in every frame, an asymmetric balance similar to that of two-dimensional compositions of Modrian. Depending on the volume and needs of each room, the use of color in furniture was chosen to either blend with the wall color or to pop out, creating a minimal yet colorful interior.
