Located on the fourth floor of a 1960s residential building in Thessaloniki, this one-bedroom apartment was reimagined for contemporary short-term rental living. The redesign prioritizes natural light, functional layout, and ample storage while maintaining the original spatial logic.
Interior walls were removed to allow daylight to penetrate from both sides, and the bedroom-living room partition was replaced with a semi-transparent closet that doubles as storage and defines circulation. The open kitchen extends into a dining bench, while recesses along walls accommodate appliances without disrupting the flow.
White surfaces and polycarbonate panels amplify light, while mirrors create a sense of expansiveness. Warm oak floors, wall panels, and custom furniture contrast with occasional vivid upholstery and black iron bathroom elements, balancing coziness with clarity. Every piece, aside from chairs, is a bespoke design crafted for the space, creating a minimal, bright, and highly functional interior.
