The apartment is located on the fourth floor of a residential building in the densely populated suburb of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki. The scope of work has been the remodeling of the apartment in order to meet contemporary standards and requirements set by the new owners. Natural light, functional layout and abundant storage were three key elements that had to be fulfilled by the new concept. The layout has been modified while maintaining the basic organization close to the original. The kitchen island extends towards the living room connecting the two spaces. Moreover, the replacement of the dividing wall with a freestanding bar console between the main corridor and dining area contributes to an open feeling throughout all common areas. Going for a calm and cozy look and feel, three main materials where used, while the use of vivid colors was limited mainly to fabrics and furniture upholstery.
